What validators do#

Validators keep the network honest. They never serve users. Instead they:

  • Work out the truth from Kaspa on their own node
  • Test miners with test messages, history checks and storage spot checks
  • Audit sponsored anchors from chain data, checking fees and limits
  • Set weights on subnet 27, which decide how emission rewards are shared

Why independence matters#

No validator scores a miner it controls. Launch requires at least two independently run validators, so no single party decides rewards.
